Thirdsan Enterprises Ltd ("Thirdsan", "we", "us") operates ThirdText. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have, in line with the Uganda Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

Name, email address, phone number, business details, and payment information you provide when registering or topping up your wallet.

Recipient Data

Phone numbers and any contact details you upload to send messages through the platform. This data belongs to you; we process it solely to deliver your messages.

Usage Data

Log data such as IP address, device/browser type, pages visited, and message delivery metadata (timestamps, status, network), used to operate and improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the ThirdText platform;
• To process payments and manage SMS credits and wallets;
• To route and deliver messages through telecom and payment partners;
• To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
• To communicate service updates, and, with consent, product news.

3. Sharing Your Information

We share data only with: telecom aggregators and mobile network operators necessary to deliver your messages; payment processors to handle transactions; and service providers who support our infrastructure under confidentiality obligations. We do not sell your personal data or recipient lists to third parties.

4. Data Retention

We retain account and message data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.

5. Data Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

6. Your Rights
